Newtown (CT) Underwater Search & Rescue 2005 Ford Excursion Response Truck NUSAR recently took delivery of their new rescue response vehicle, a 2005 Ford Excursion.  In addition to the lighting and graphics package, an Extendo-Bed rear cargo carrier is to be added to organize dive and support equipment. Warning lighting is provided by a Whelen LED system with 55" Liberty lightbar, four split red/red TIR6 LEDs in the grille and the same split TIR6s on each side, front & rear.  A rear mounted six head Dominator, headlight flasher and rear tailight/backup light flasher with Whelen siren, complete the warning system.  Dual halogen floodlights are mounted under the rear bumper with one of each connected to the OEM reverse lights while the other two are controlled from the console for nightime rear floodlighting. The center console is a 30" Havis-Shields Consolidator with internal and external dual cup holders, storage compartment, Whelen siren, dual 12V power points, Motorola CDM1250, 7 switch control panel and custom mount to relocate the OEM rear HVAC control.
